INTERVIEW WITH MS KEHINDE AGBOOLA – Coordinator, Global Initiative Support Group for Sheriff 2027 – London Chapter. In this interview with the Publisher/Editor-in-Chief of the Rainbow Newspaper, Comrade Matthias Ogbagah, she shared her mind on the three years of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori in office, described him as a Godsent and a gift to Deltans, woo Deltans to return him to government house come the 2027 general elections.

Q: Good day, Madam Kehinde Agboola, Coordinator of the Global Initiative Support Group for Sheriff 2027 London Chapter. I understand you came to Nigeria for the proposed inaugural/flag-off of the 25 LGAs in the state, initially scheduled for July 25, 2026, but it was postponed. What is your take on the group?
Ans: Thank you very much. It was indeed my intention to be in Nigeria to participate in the inaugural and flag-off ceremony because I believe strongly in the vision of the Global Initiative Support Group for Sheriff 2027. Although the event was postponed, my confidence in the group has not diminished. The postponement only provides an opportunity for better planning and wider participation. What impresses me most is the group’s organisation, inclusiveness, and commitment to grassroots mobilisation across all 25 local government areas of Delta State. I am proud to be part of a movement that is united by service, development, and the collective aspiration for a better Delta State.
Q: As a stalwart of the ruling party in the state, what are your perceptions about the 2027 general elections?
Ans: The 2027 general elections will present another opportunity for the people of Delta State to evaluate leadership based on performance, stability, and continuity. I believe the democratic process allows citizens to make informed decisions, and I am optimistic that constructive campaigns and issue-based engagements will continue to shape the political landscape. Our responsibility as supporters is to engage the people peacefully, showcase achievements, and encourage broad participation in the electoral process.
Q: What are your takes on the ideologies of the Delta State Governor under his MORE Agenda?
Ans: The MORE Agenda emphasises continuity in development through meaningful opportunities, improved infrastructure, peace, economic growth, and greater inclusion of the people. These are ideals that resonate with many Deltans because they focus on practical governance and improving the quality of life. I believe any leadership that prioritises development, unity, and the welfare of the people deserves encouragement and constructive support.
Q: Are you convinced that Deltans will return him to Government House come the 2027 general elections?
Ans: Ultimately, that decision belongs to the people of Delta State. As a supporter, I am confident that if the administration continues to engage the people, sustain development initiatives, and maintain its commitment to good governance, many voters will carefully consider its record when they cast their ballots. Our role is to continue presenting our message respectfully and allow the electorate to make their democratic choice.
Q: You’re a Nigerian based in London, UK, and Coordinator of the Global Initiative Support Group for Sheriff 2027. How do you see the vision, mission, and ideologies of the group?
Ans: The vision of the Global Initiative Support Group for Sheriff 2027 is inspiring because it seeks to unite Deltans at home and in the diaspora behind a common goal of supporting sustainable development and continuity in governance. The group’s mission is rooted in grassroots mobilisation, public enlightenment, youth and women inclusion, and promoting peaceful democratic participation. What stands out is that it encourages members to contribute positively to the political process while fostering unity and progress across the state.
Q. If you’re asked to assess the Governor’s three years in office, how would you rate him, and why did you join forces with him ahead of the 2027 general elections?
Ans: Every administration can be assessed from different perspectives, but from my observations, I have seen deliberate efforts toward infrastructure development, continuity of government projects, and policies aimed at improving the lives of Deltans. I joined the Global Initiative Support Group because I believe in supporting leadership that strives to build on existing achievements while pursuing greater progress. My decision is based on my conviction that active participation and constructive support are important ingredients of democratic governance.
Q: When a new date is set, will you be able to come back from the UK to attend the inaugural and flag-off?
Ans: By the grace of God, yes. If my schedule permits, I will gladly return to Nigeria to be part of that historic event. The inauguration and flag-off represent an important milestone for our group, and I would be honoured to stand alongside our leaders, coordinators, and members from across the 25 local government areas. My commitment to the Global Initiative Support Group for Sheriff 2027 remains unwavering, and I look forward to contributing my quota to the success of the movement.
