2027: Siakpere’s Team For Oborevwori 2027 Inaugurated, Urges Okpes To Deliver Tinubu, Oborevwori, Others
•“We do not want to hear 60%, 69%; we want to hear 100%”, APC state chairman, Arenyeka, urged group

OKPE – Ahead of the country’s 2027 general elections, a political support team, ” Siakpere’s Team For Oborevwori 2027″, yesterday, Friday, September 18, 2026, inaugurated at Aghalokpe in Okpe Local Government Area of Delta State with a promise to throw its weight behind President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, Senator Ede Dafinone and other All Progressives Congress (APC) candidates in the 2027 general elections.
The group made the promise during the official inauguration and flag-off of grassroots mobilisation for the re-election of Governor Oborevwori.
The team, led by Barr. John Ewhubare Siakpere, Director-General, pledged to take the campaign for the APC candidates to communities, wards, and polling units across Okpe.
Governor Oborevwori, who was represented by his Special Adviser on Political Matters, Chief Ramson Ikweki, at the occasion, praised Siakpere for his enormous contributions to Okpe kingdom and Delta State as a whole.
According to him, the governor expects Okpe to deliver massive votes for Tinubu, Oborevwori, Dafinone, Ramson Onoyake and Hon. James Augoye in the forthcoming 2027 general elections.
While noting that Governor Oborevwori remained committed to using the state’s resources judiciously and ensuring that development was spread across communities, he urged the Okpe people to remain united and support government programmes in critical areas, including education, healthcare, employment and infrastructure.
He also assured the gathering that concerns raised by the people would be conveyed to the governor for appropriate action.
On his part, the Delta State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Chief Solomon Arenyeka, challenged members of the team to take their message directly to the people.
He described the support groups as critical instruments for grassroots mobilisation and promised that the groups would be strengthened and coordinated under a broader APC support structure to mobilise voters across wards and polling units.
According to him, “Grassroots mobilisation is not about sitting in meetings.” he urged all members to physically engage the electorate in the communities and polling units across the local government and demonstrate their contributions to them.
“We do not want to hear 60 per cent. We do not want to hear 69 per cent. We want to hear 100 per cent.” Members must physically engage the electorate and demonstrate their contributions at the grassroots”.
He also called on members to work towards securing strong support for the APC candidates in 2027.
Meanwhile, the APC State Secretary and Chairman of the occasion, Chief Efe Uko, said Siakpere deserved commendation for his support for Oborevwori’s emergence as governor in 2023.
Uko described Oborevwori’s administration as one that had delivered visible democratic dividends across Delta, citing major projects in Okpe as evidence.
He pointed to several projects which, according to him, reflected the impact of Governor Oborevwori’s administration in Okpe kingdom. These include the Southern Delta University campus at Orerokpe, the proposed teaching hospital at Osubi and the dualisation of Esezi Road, expressed optimism that the Orerokpe campus could eventually become a full-fledged university before the end of the governor’s tenure.
Also speaking, the member representing Okpe Constituency in the Delta State House of Assembly, Hon. James Augoye, thanked Siakpere for creating the group. He said the initiative would help supporters engage residents, hear their concerns and pass them on to the government.
He called for patience and continued support for the Oborevwori administration, saying development required sustained effort and continuity.
“Development does not happen overnight. We must allow the administration to consolidate the progress already made and do even more for our people,” he said.
Earlier, the Director-General of the team, Siakpere, said the team was inspired by what he described as the infrastructural achievements of Governor Oborevwori under his M.O.R.E. Agenda mantra.
He promised that the group would work with other supporters to mobilise votes for Oborevwori and the other APC candidates in the 2027 elections.
The event featured the presentation of cash grants to 40 residents. The beneficiaries were encouraged to invest the funds in their businesses and other livelihood activities.
Those inaugurated alongside the Director-General, Siakpere, are: Hon. Peter Obire, Chairman; God’spower Odjeboro, Vice Chairman; Onomakpome Emuobo, Secretary; Mrs Ejiro Owe, Treasurer; Dr Stephen Richards, Financial Secretary; Ebami Peace, Publicity Secretary.
Others are: Elizabeth Ebami and Ufuoma Izobo, Coordinators; Mrs Empkor Doris, Social Secretary; Prince Umerah O. Patrick, Assistant Secretary; and Mr Mathias Erhabor, Youth Leader. Elders of the group include Mr Paul Erhabor and Hon. Akpojohare Donald.
Among government officials, APC leaders, community stakeholders, youths and women present are: Hon. Ejiro Etacheruro, Chief Roseline Amioku, Chief Isaiah Esiovwa, Hon. Joseph Othirhue, Hon. David Agbaminor and Chief Mike Affe.
