DELTA – Former chairman of the Independent Petroleum Marketer Association of Nigeria (IPMAN), now Executive Assistant to the Governor of Delta State, Chief Edafevwotu Akpos, yesterday commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori for bringing Warri Refinery and Petrochemical Company back to operations.

According to him, the revival of the moribund Warri Refinery and Petrochemical Company would certainly create jobs and wealth for eligible and qualified Deltans and Nigerians at large.

While commending Mr. President and Governor Sheriff Oborevwori of Delta State, Chief Edafevwotu Akpos who is also a National executive member of the Independent Petroleum Marketer Association of Nigeria (IPMAN) assured that the resumption of production of petrol, diesel, and kerosene at the Warri Refinery would certainly create jobs and bring back the lost glory of Warri and Delta State as a whole.

“I do not doubt in my mind that the resumption of operations at Warri Refinery and Petrochemical Company will revamp the economy of Delta State and will increase the Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) of the state.

“Delta State will bubble again, Deltans will smile because it will create jobs for the teeming youths of Delta State, in turn, it will reduce restiveness, robbery, and kidnapping activities and other socio vices in the state.”

While commending the doggedness and resilient infrastructural development and socio-economic remodeling efforts of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, he condemned in its entirety the rumor paddled around that the governor is perfecting plans to deflect to the All Progressive Congress (APC).

According to him, the rumours are the handiwork of some mischievous, unscrupulous elements in the state and calculative attempts to distract the governor from his path of progress.

He called on all Deltans to disregard the rumors and the evil publications targeted at the working governor meant with evil intentions to distract his focus from his good plans for the state.
