UGHELLI: Abreast with the security challenges during the Ember Months, the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) ‘A’ Division, Ughelli, CSP Sadiq Mana, on Tuesday, September 2, 2024, convened a pivotal meeting with Strategic security outfits in his division.
While commending the sister security operatives in his division comprising of Vigilante Group of Nigeria (VGN), Hunters, Raiders, Bakasi and others
to assess the security situation and discuss pertinent security matters as Ember Months approaches.

Mana, during the meeting, commended the dedication and tireless efforts of the security operatives in fighting crime in ‘A’ Division, Ughelli, as well as the unwavering support of the government and the public, which have collectively contributed to the notable decline in crime rates in Ughelli north as a whole.
CSP Mana, however, charged the security operatives to brace up and urged that they should implement crime prevention strategies devised for the “ember months” in the State.
According to him, the meeting is part of efforts to ensure adequate security of lives and properties in Ughelli and its environs during the ember months leading up to the forthcoming Christmas and New Year celebrations.

He identified the flashpoints within the division and strategies criminals are using on their suspected victims.
The CSP Mana called on citizens of the State and visitors to continue to be security-conscious and law-abiding.
“All residents and visitors in the state are enjoined to support the police and other security operatives in their quest to frontally tackle existing and emerging security challenges in the council area”, he added.
