Police Raid: Delta Hotel Manager, Ovu cheats Death

AGBARHO – The manager of a popular hotel at Agbarho, Ughelli North local government area, Delta State, Mr. Gabriel Ovu, narrowly cheated death as police stray bullet targeted at drug dens, prostitution rings, and suspected cultists in the area hit his abdomen during a police raid.
The Rainbow Newspaper source reliably gathered that Ovu was unlike as he was struck in his abdomen by the stray bullet of the police crack team targeted at drug dens, prostitution rings, and suspected cultists in the area during the operation.
Rainbow Newspaper source hinted that the raid, led by a police crack team, involved a sweep of various establishments when the accidental discharge occurred at a local hotel where Ovu was working.
An eyewitness account said the manager was quickly rushed to a nearby hospital for emergency treatment.

While the exact circumstances surrounding the shooting remain unclear, a source within the Delta State Police Command confirmed that the officer responsible for the accidental discharge has not yet been identified.

Meanwhile, the Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Edafe Bright, denied that an accidental discharge occurred, but anonymous sources within the command acknowledged the incident during the raid.

The shooting has sparked concerns from community members, with many questioning the level of care and professionalism shown by officers during such operations.
