East-West Road Nightmare: Hon. Malculey Eulogises Gov. Oborevwori’s Quick Intervention
*Called for rehabilitation of Okpaka/DSC/Opete/Aladja roads

UDU – Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress APC, Hon. Israel Edirinverere Macauley, has commended the Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, on what he described as quick intervention on the bad spot of the East-West Road by the Agbarho axis of the road.
Speaking to newsmen, the APC Chieftain described Governor Sheriff Oborevwori as a people-oriented governor who knows the pains of his people and their needs.
According to him, the governor’s quick intervention on the bad spot will save motorists, traders and road users from the stress the bad spot has imposed on them and the untold hardship it has imposed on Deltans and Nigerians as a whole.
While describing the importance of the road to Delta State and Nigeria at large, he said the East-West Road connects all the states of the South-South, South-East, South-West and the rest of the country.
“The governor’s intervention on the bad spot of the East-West Road will not only ameliorate the stress and dangers it imposed on road users but will bring relief to the residents of the impacted community, Agbarho, where a greater part of it was submerged.
“The work at the bad spot by Julius Berger Nigeria Plc will put an end to the perennial flooding in Agbarho”.
It would be recalled that the ancient kingdom of Agbarho in Ughelli North Local Government Area was, on Monday, September 28, 2026, inundated with flood and part of the East-West Road by the Agbarho axis of the road.
Malculey appealed to Governor Sheriff Oborevwori to use the opportunity to carry out palliative work on the road from DSC roundabout to the ongoing flyover bridge at Otovwodo junction of the East-West Road.
He also appealed to the governor to fix the Okpaka community road leading to MELCURT Ltd down Opete community, DSC roundabout to Aladja community in Udu community.
