PDP CONGRESS: Egbo, Ofomukoro, Ayoro Congratulates Arenyeka As He Emerges Delta PDP Chairman

ASABA – THE trio of the executive chairman of Ughelli North Council area, Olorogun Barr Jaro Omovudu Egbo, the newly inaugurated chairman of PDP Ughelli North, Comrade Lucky Ofomukoro, and a chieftain of PDP in Ughelli north council, Chief John Ayoro has congratulated the newly elected members of the State Executive Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Commenting on the sidelines of the Congress, the trio of Hon. Jaro Egbo, Mr. Lucky Ofomukoro, and Chief John Ayoro described the event as peaceful and expressed gratitude for the unity within the party. They emphasized the importance of working together for the party’s continued growth and the overall development of the state.

On his part, while addressing newsmen, the Ughelli north chairman of PDP, Comrade Lucky Ofomukoro, described the process as a mature expected of true leadership.

His words, “Let me, on behalf of the Elders and Leaders Council and my Executives, commend our amiable Governor, Rt. Hon. (Elder) Sheriff Francis Oborevwori and Olorogun (Barr.) Kingsley Esiso and his ongoing PDP State Working Committee, SWC, for this peaceful transition process.

“This further shows that Delta State PDP is a true one big family and formidable in the state, also practicing internal democracy and a law-abiding party.

“I congratulate the incoming Chairman of our party, Chief Solomon Arenyeka, and his State Working Committee on their successful emergence at the State Congress, am pledging our loyalty to Mr. Governor, Gov. Oborevwori, leader of our party, we are committed to a mutual working relationship with the incoming leadership in advancing the ideas of our great party to give a purposeful leadership to our dear state “.

“You can see that the congress is peaceful. We also thank God for the good weather today. You can see that we are united in Delta State. That’s why you see that there is no crisis,” the Governor remarked.

Speaking to Rainbow Newspaper at a separate time, they commended the state Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori and Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for the peaceful congress.

The Congress was attended by 3,152 delegates, including the governor, his Deputy, Sir Monday Onyeme, immediate past Governor, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, Senator Ned Nwoko, Senator James Manager, and Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Emomotimi Guwor was conducted by a team of PDP officials from Abuja, led by Prof. Frank Collins Okafor.

At the Congress held at the Cenotaph in Asaba, Chief Solomon Arenyeka was elected State Chairman, with Mr. Moses Iduh as Deputy Chairman.

Other elected officials include; Engr. Daniel Ossai (Vice Chairman, Delta North Senatorial District), Hon. Anthony Akpomiemie (Vice Chairman, Delta Central Senatorial District), Chief Emmanuel Amgbaduba (Vice Chairman, Delta South Senatorial District), Chief Isaacs Itebu (Secretary), Chief Chibuzor Uwajei (State Treasurer), Hon. Fidelis Adjogbe (Financial Secretary), Dr. Ebenezer Okorodudu (Publicity Secretary), Hon. Emmanuel Egbabor (Organizing Secretary), Barr. Hessington Okolo (State Legal Adviser), Chief Mrs. Dora Sakpaide (State Woman Leader), Barr. Francis Okolie (State Youth Leader), and Pastor Alex Akemotubo (State Auditor), amongst others.
