*Calls For Partnership between Pointer Newspaper and Community Newspapers

ASABA – THE Chairman, Board of Directors, Delta Printing and Publishing Cooperation, DPPC, Olorogun Dr. Ebenezer Okorodudu eulogised Association of Community Newspapers Publishers of Nigeria (ACNPN) Delta State chapter.
Okorodudu made the commendation while playing host to the Association of Community Newspapers Publishers of Nigeria (ACNPN) Delta State chapter led by the Senior Special Assistant (SSA) Media to Governor Sheriff Oborevwori of Delta State at the boardroom of Pointer Newspaper, Asaba, the Delta State capital.
While calling for a partnership between the community newspapers in the state and Pointer Newspaper, Okorodudu commended the solidarity and the desire of ACNPN to collaborate with the State newspaper – Pointer Newspaper, in promoting the state’s projects and reaching the grassroots.
His words, “That you came to promote partnership, and synergy is commendable is only a fool Wii ignore such call. I know you have been committed to the Delta State projects in your newspaper’s publication.
“You are very supportive in promoting Delta State government and the State, not just the party but the state as a whole. Your Partnership is a robust one; we desire it and accept it because, with the synergy, certain information will emanate from the location.
“This synergy will enrich our publication and make the coverage very effective and of richer content for the benefits of Deltans, as we cannot have a totality of information in a location.”
Also speaking, the Acting General Manager of Delta Printing and Publishing Cooperation, DPPC, Mr. Godfrey Ubaka, said it is the policy of DPPC to focus on local content and promised to improve on it.
Earlier, SSA Media to the state Governor, Joseph Orhonomenokpaye congratulated Dr. Ebenezer Okorodudu on his recent election victory as PDP publicity secretary.
“We are here to partner with the Pointer Newspaper. The pointer is serving the grassroots, and it will be good that we collaborate with Pointer Newspaper to reach out to the grassroots. We need the pointer, as well as the Pointer needs the community newspapers and other private newspapers”.
