INDUCTION: Urhobo Sociopolitical Movement Inducts Delta Deputy Speaker, Akpowowo As National Patron

UGHELLI – Urhobo Sociopolitical Movement, The Urhobo Mudiaga for Tinubu and Sheriff 2027, a political pressure group in Delta State, on Sunday, 5, 2026, inducted the Deputy Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. (Barr.) Arthur Akpowowo was the pioneer National Patron of the group.

The induction and decoration of Rt. Hon. (Barr.) Arthur Akpowowo was performed by the National President of the Urhobo Mudiaga for Tinubu and Sheriff 2027, Olorogun (AMB.) William Atagana, the Ugo of Agbarha-Otor Kingdom, during a courtesy visit to the Deputy Speaker at his country home, Eku in Ethiope East LGA of Delta State.
In his acceptance speech, Akpowowo thanked the group for promoting the Delta State Government and supporting the re-election bids of the State Governor, Rt. Hon. (Elder) Sheriff Francis Oborevwori, President Bola Ahmad Tinubu and other candidates of the All Progressive Congress, APC, in the State.

He assured of providing guidance and collaborating closely with the group to achieve their objectives.
Earlier, the Director General of the group, Chief (Hon.) Luckyson Oniyan highlighted the group’s objectives as a leading Urhobo sociopolitical pressure group that seeks to mobilise all Urhobo-speaking people across the eight Local governments of Urhobo and Urhobos in Warri South and Patani LGAs to rally support for Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s continuity and unity of purpose.
