UGHELLI – A chieftain of the ruling party in Delta State, People Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Edafevwotu Akpos has extended his heartfelt gratitude to the executive chairman of Ughelli North local government area, Olorogun (Barr.) Jaro Egbo on the successful groundbreaking of the council’s Ultra-Modern secretariat building.

Chief Akpos who is an Executive Assistant (EA) to Governor of Delta State on Oil & Gas matters told journalists that since the inception of Barrister Jaro Egbo as the executive chairman of Ughelli North council, all the nooks and crannies of the council has wear a new facelift.

According to him, the Ultra-Modern Secretariat when finished, furniture and commission for uses it will not only create employment for the teeming youths and women of the council area but would restore the lost glory of the council.

Akpos who is the former chairman of Independent Petroleum Marketer Association of Nigeria (IPMAN) also national executive members of IPMAN said Ughelli North Council is the capital of Delta Central Senatorial district and capital of the then Central Urhobo comprising all the present Urhobo kingdoms, Isoko and Ukwale.

Akpos emphasised the need for all stakeholders in the council area to collaborate the council area to build and move the council to it’s enviable position and stand tall amongst it’s equal.

He thanked the state Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori for given enably environment for the council chairman to operate and carry out people’s oriented projects in the council area.

Akpos urged the contractor handling the building project to keep to the BOQ and specifications of materials in the BOQ.
