Egbo goes tough with environmental violators, warns Hoteliers, Eatery owners

IRKED by the defacing of Ughelli township the seat of power of the north local government area, Delta State, the Ughelli north council boss, Olorogun Jaro Egbo on Friday, August 16, 2024, in line with the Delta State “Operation Keep Delta State Clean’ weigh the big rod of the council on those defacing the council area.

Egbo, who storms the Otovwodo junction of the East-West road with his team of environmental workers of the council and environmental task force of the council, removed all makeshift structures on the walkway and drainages.
While giving stern warnings to those trading along the road and on the walkways in the council area, he declared that the era of impunity had passed.

According to him, he has zero tolerance for any form of insubordination that is capable of undermining the stands of the council area on cleanness as the defaulters will be made to face the wrought of the law.

While inspecting the ongoing work
on the temporary market for traders in Ughelli’s main market selling on the pavement and along roadsides, he expressed his dissatisfaction with the nonchalant attitude of some of the traders to the cleanness.

Egbo warned all Hoteliers and eatery owners in the council area to desist from the sharp practices of collecting their swage in the public gutters as the council will take decisive actions against anyone found wanting.
