ASABA – IRKED by a misleading statement issued by the DISSOLVED JUDE OBIEMENYEGO – led Exco of the Association of Community Newspapers Publishers (ACNPN) Delta State Chapter, ACNPN Delta State said the dissolution of JUDE OBIEMENYEGO and his erstwhile Exco is sacrosanct.

The Association in a press dated September 5, 2024 read in part, ” We wish to promptly reaffirm that the Dissolution of the Exco on Thursday August 29, 2024 remains valid”.

The Press Release stated further, “Suffice to note that bearing in mind that some of the reasons which led to the Dissolution include the Expiration of the Tenure since December 2023/Refusal to set up an Election Committee to conduct elections and Refusal to convene Meetings, it becomes laughable how Mr. Jude Obiemenyego smuggled himself into the Association’s Secretariat to hold a physical meeting, which he has refused to do for over 8 months.

‘We also consider it laughable to see him fearfully make host today, exactly Seven (7) Clear Days after his Dissolution of Thursday August 29, 2024, to purportedly set up an election commiiee to mimick the original action taken against him one week ago.

“While the issue of setting up an Election Committee has been one of our cardinal demands since nearly one year, there is no gain-saying the fact that Mr. Jude Obiemenyego has since lost the privilege to constitute the much-needed election committee having failed woefully for a whooping one year to do so.

“We also wish to reaffair the VOTE OF NO CONFIDENCE PASSED ON MR. JUDE OBIEMENYEGO and his DISSOLVED EXECUTIVE”.

The press release urged members of the general public to be wary of Mr. Jude Obiemenyego who is a renowned shadow man that found himself into the leadership of ACNPN by crooked machination and has since been displaying his crass mentality of being power-drunk.

While reposing implicit confidence on the Caretaker/Electoral Committee headed by Dr. Dike Awana remains valid, the statement stated that the committee has been working round the clock to ensure that the Association is stabilized and repositioned.

“Mr. Jude Obiemenyego remains a sinking man that is trying to hold onto any clog he could lay his hands on, which can not however save him from the drowning he is doomed to suffer as a result of his personal actions”.

ACNPN urged members to continue to exhibit the humbling patience they have been displaying since last and remain law-abiding as the leadership issues in the Association shall be laid to rest in no distant time, and peacefully too.
