ENUGU – Senator John Azuta-Mbata has emerged as the President General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide.
The historic election took place during a stakeholders’ meeting at the iconic Old Government Lodge in Enugu, the bustling heart of Enugu State.
Delegates from across the nation gathered to chart a fresh course for the respected organization that champions Igbo unity and cultural heritage.
Azuta-Mbata, a former Senator representing Rivers East at the National Assembly, is widely regarded for his political clout and unwavering dedication to advancing the Igbo cause. His rise to the top position has sparked excitement among Ndigbo both at home and in the diaspora, with many expressing optimism about his vision for a stronger, more united Ohanaeze.
