The Pan Niger Delta Forum (PANDEF), the apex socio-political body for the people of the South-South, has eulogized former President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, GCFR, as Nigeria’s greatest peace Ambassador and democrat.
PANDEF made the assertation in a congratulatory message signed by its National Chairman, Amb. Godknows Igali to the former Nigeria President, Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, on the occasion of his 67th birthday anniversary.
The congratulatory message signed by Amb. Godknows Igali reads in parts;
“You have done well in life and stand out as a global icon of democracy and peace. The pursuit of your mantra that your political ambition is not worth the blood of a single Nigerian was amply demonstrated when you took the giant step of congratulating former President Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR, winner of the 2015 presidential election even while the counting of the votes was still ongoing.
“You remain shining as the only major Nigerian politician who never went to court even though the election in question had its fair share of flaws which were quite noticeable and known to all.
“Today, the dignified role that nature has bestowed on you as a global peace icon and your frontal role in the consolidation of democracy and good governance in various countries on the African continent and around the world speaks for itself.”
Ambassador (Dr.) Godknows Igali assured former President Jonathan of the support of PANDEF in all his forthcoming activities and prays as follows, “We all join in prayers that the Almighty God will continue to preserve and bless you with many great and impactful years for humanity in the years ahead.
