Uduere Killing: Ughelli North Council Boss, Egbo Read Riot Act On Bandits, Kidnappers

The Executive Chairman of Ughelli North local government council, Olorogun (Barr.) Jaro Movudu Egbo, KSC, has read the riot act and declared total war on bandits and kidnappers.
While condemning the recent kidnapping and gruesome killing at the council boss’s community, Uduere-Ughelli’s community and other parts of Ughelli North Local Government Area, in a press statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr Efe Ekete, Egbo described the criminal acts as barbaric, wicked, and unacceptable.
The statement stated further that the gruesome killing constitutes a direct assault on the peace, security, and development of his administration.
His words, “Ughelli North cannot and will not be surrendered to criminals. Those responsible for these senseless killings and kidnappings must understand that their days are numbered.
“The council is working closely with security agencies. We are deploying every available resource, intelligence, and lawful means to ensure that the perpetrators are identified, arrested, and brought to book.”
Barr. Egbo assured residents that the protection of lives and property remains the foremost priority of his administration, warning that there will be no hiding place for criminals operating anywhere within Ughelli North.
He called on traditional rulers, community leaders, youth groups, vigilante outfits, and all residents to strengthen collaboration with security agencies by providing credible and timely information that will aid ongoing security operations.
“Security is a collective responsibility. Together, we must remain vigilant, united, and resolute in denying criminal elements any haven within our communities,” he stated.
The Chairman expressed heartfelt condolences to the families of those who lost their lives in the unfortunate incident and prayed for God’s comfort during this difficult time. He also prayed for the safe release of all persons still in captivity.
Barr. Egbo reaffirmed his administration’s unwavering commitment to restoring lasting peace, strengthening security, and ensuring that every resident of Ughelli North can live and conduct their lawful activities without fear.
