UGHELLI – THE Immediate past President General of Ekiugbo-Ughelli community, Ughelli north local government area of Delta State, Comrade Benard Baker last Sunday bags a prestigious chieftaincy title of Africa Church, Ughelli Diocese as the ‘Ofuoma r’Oghene of Africa Church alongside his wife, Mrs. Grace Baker as the Omafuvwe of Church of Africa.
Conferring the prestigious chieftaincy title of the church on the couple at the cathedral church of Africa Church, Olori street, Ughelli, the Bishop of the diocese, Rt. Rev. Onos Williams charged the couple to be a good ambassador of Christ Jesus and Africa Church worldwide.
“The honour done on you today is to equip you for greater task to propagate the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ to all nooks and crannies of the world and to be a good examplenary leaders of house of God”.
Speaking to newsmen, the ‘Ofuoma r’Oghene of Africa Church, Chief Benard Baker thanked the Bishop of the diocese and house of clergys for considering him and his wife for the prestigious Chieftaincy title of the council.
According to him, he dedicated the chieftaincy title to God first, the bishop, and to all parishioners of Africa Church, Ughelli Diocese.
The Ex- PG who is highly elated for the honour, said, he will thank God on Sunday February 2, 2025 at Africa Church along Oghenevweta Street at 9.00 am and reception of guests follow immediately at his compound shortly before Ekiugbo Grammar School, Ekiugbo Ughelli, Delta State.
