UGHELLI – The Ughelli north chairman of People Democratic Party (PDP), Comrade Lucky Ofomukoro (JP) has on New Year Day declared his stand before the party faithful saying he did not belong to any political leader in the council area but he belong to everybody.

Ofomukoro made the declaration on New Year Day at the party secretariat during the party’s New Year get together celebration organized by him.

While calling on leaders, elders and members of the party to desist from the syndrome of “Pull Him Down”, he threaten to name and expose anyone find culpable of sabotage the efforts of the party in Ughelli north council to the state Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori.

“If there is anybody who want to sabotage the efforts of the party in Ughelli north council area we will expose them and tell governor that these are the people subverting the party in the council area.

“I’m only responsible to one person and that is the governor, i will always seek advise from the leaders and elders first before doing anything.

“Do not fight those saying the truth, it is only the truth that can make us stronger to win Ughelli north for PDP come next general and council elections.

“Ughelli north is a complex place, i will come out soon to name and expose leaders that are spoiling and killing the party (PDP) in Ughelli north.

“Today we are celebrating the party but some leaders and elders of the party are not here because they are not the one organizing it except for few that took permission”, Ofomukoro lamented.

In his response, Dr. Isaac Akpoveta commended the party chairman, Lucky Ofomukoro for his visionary leadership style and for organizing first ever get-together New Year party of PDP Ughelli north saying this time around PDP most win Ughelli north council area.

While calling for unity among the members, he noted that in absence of unity and cooperation the party will not go far in the council area.

Akpoveta, urged the chairman to prioritise the youths of the party for maximum efforts saying during the last general election the Labour Party (LP) obedient youths almost embarrassed PDP, therefore, empower the youths to work optimally ahead of 2027 general election, he advised.

Also speaking, Dr. Chris Oharisi, he assured the chairman the commitment and supports of the leaders and elders of the party for he to succeed.

While issuing sterling warning to look worm members, he said, “Any leader(s) that is not ready to support the course of PDP in Ughelli north council should set themselves aside.

” This is 2025 the politics of 2027 has started if you call yourself a leader you must avail yourself and play the role of leadership morally and financially.

“We can not afford to fail ourselves and PDP because Governor Oborevwori has done well for us in Ughelli north, am a prototype of Governor Oborevwori’s projects worth over five billion naira (N5b) in Otovwodo-Ughelli, Ughelli north local government area of the state.

Meanwhile, the majority leader of the legislative army of Ughelli north, Hon. Ese Agbobore has called for more synergy between the leadership of the party and the councilors.

According to him, the councilors must be fully service and carry along in the affairs of the party, assured that the 20 councilors are prepare to support the party chairman and his executive members to succeed.
