How Abacha Died During Intercourse With Girlfriend – Ex-DSS Operative

A former Assistant Director of the Department of State Services (DSS), Dennis Amachree, has claimed that late military Head of State, Gen. Sani Abacha, died during an intimate encounter with the younger sister of his girlfriend. News
Amachree made the allegation in his newly released memoir, DSS @40: My Journey Behind the Shield, offering what he described as a firsthand account of the circumstances surrounding Abacha’s death on June 8, 1998.
According to the retired intelligence officer, who served as Assistant Director of Operations and Intelligence at the Lagos DSS Command at the time, Abacha died around 4:05 a.m. at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, after suffering what he described as a coitus-induced cardiac arrest.
He alleged that Abacha’s girlfriend had visited Aso Rock with her younger sister, a pharmacist attending a conference in Abuja. Amachree claimed the girlfriend later returned to her hotel, leaving her sister alone with the Head of State.
The former DSS official further alleged that the younger woman discovered Abacha had become unresponsive during the encounter, informed a soldier on duty that she needed transport back to her hotel, and subsequently flew to Lagos on the first available morning flight.
Amachree said the DSS later tracked down and questioned the pharmacist in Lagos.
According to him, her first words during the interrogation were: “I did not kill him, he died on top of me.”
He maintained that her account represents the true circumstances of Abacha’s death and dismisses long-standing conspiracy theories, including claims that the former military ruler died after being poisoned or while in the company of foreign women.
Abacha ruled Nigeria from November 1993 until his death in June 1998. His sudden demise has remained the subject of speculation and conflicting accounts for nearly three decades. Demographics

Neither Abacha’s family nor the Federal Government has officially responded to the allegations contained in the book.
