2027: Group Inaugurates Urhobo Mudiaga Movement For Tinubu, Oborevwori Declares Total Support For Them

WARRI – Ahead of the 2027 general elections, a political pressure group, “Urhobo Mudiaga Movement for Tinubu and Sheriff” on Thursday May 7, 2027, in Warri Delta State was inaugurated with an unwavering declaration to support the re-election of President Ahmed Bola Tinubu and Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Francis Oborevwori.
In his welcome address, the Chairman of the inauguration Ceremony, Okakuro Barr. Isaac Ititebu, described movement as a grassroots mobilisation of the Urhobo nation aimed at fostering unity, advocating for inclusive leadership, and sustaining support for purposeful governance.
According to him, the inauguration is more than the birth of a new group but a call to awaken collective consciousness among the Urhobo people.
“The Urhobo Nation has always been a pillar of political stability, economic strength, and cultural pride in Delta State and Nigeria as a whole, he noted.
“History has taught us that progress is never accidental; it is the result of deliberate unity and strategic engagement.”
He commended Governor Oborevwori’s administration for its commitment to development, peace, and inclusive governance, through its “MORE Agenda” mantra that has earned the state meaningful infrastructure, opportunities, and reforms across the state.
Meanwhile, the President and Founder of the Movement, Chief Williams Atagana described the Movement as an apex body dedicated to the advancement of the Urhobo nation.
He reaffirmed the group’s unwavering support for Governor Oborevwori and President Tinubu, emphasising its commitment to unity, development, and inclusive leadership.
In separate interviews, the Director-General of the Movement, Hon. Chief Luckson Oniyan and the Director of Women Affairs for the movement, Hon. Mrs Joan Onomaborigho, commended President Bola Tinubu and Governor Sheriff Oborevwori for their developmental strides across the length and breadth of Delta State.
While expressing confidence in the re-election of President Tinubu and Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, they said, Urhobo people are solidly behind Governor Oborevwori and President Ahmed Bola Tinubu for the betterment of the Urhobo nation.
“All Progressive Congress (APC) Delta State are fully prepared to support the return of APC candidates in the 2027 elections, noting that ward members are already mobilised with their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs).
“The positive impact of Governor Oborevwori’s administration on women, youths, and widows across the local government areas of the state are feet by all, he has provided a level playing field for all Deltans, earning widespread support.
“The women are standing in full support to see his re-emergence as Governor of Delta State come 2027 general elections.”
