Oil & Gas: Delta State Rates Number One In Production Under Gov. Oborevwori’s Administration – Chief Akpos

*Commends Chevron Nigeria Limited for being faithful to its host communities

WARRI – The Executive Assistant EA Oil and Gas matters to Governor Sheriff Oborevwori of Delta State, Chief Edafevwotu Akpos has disclosed that Delta State is rated number one state in oil and gas production in the country under the administration of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori.

The former Delta State chairman of the Independent Petroleum Marketer Association of Nigeria (IPMAN) over the weekend to told selected journalists in the state that oil and gas production in the state has risen since its inception in the office of Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori is the governor of Delta State.

According to him, the state was recently time rated as the number one state in the production of oil and gas by the federal government of Nigeria.

While attributing the rise in the quantum of oil and gas production to the state governor, he said, the Delta State government led by Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori has constantly advocated for good relationships between the oil host communities and the oil companies operating in the state.

Akpos called on the host communities and oil companies to reciprocate the good gesture of the state government to sustain the temple.

While commending the management of Chevron Nigeria Limited for being faithful and committed to its host communities, he said, “Many oil companies and other companies left Warri, but Chevron remains in Warri.

Akpos recognised the continuous contributions of Chevron Nigeria Limited to the nation’s economy and development; he applauded the management of the company for coming to interface with the state government.

The former IPMAN chairman Delta State implored Chevron Nigeria Limited and other oil companies to continue to do more for their host communities.
