Foundation To Mark Founder’s Birthday With N10 M Empowerment Programme August 15

A non-governmental organisation (NGO), Obiodeh Foundation, is set to celebrate its founder’s birthday, Chief Goodnews Emamusi Obiodeh, the Delta State Commissioner of Lands and Surveys, with an N10m empowerment programme to mark the 2026 birthday.
The programme of events made available to Rainbow Newspaper: the 2026 birthday of the founder of Obiodeh Foundation coincides with its founder’s birthday on August 15, 2026.
According to a statement by the foundation, signed by Marvins Obibi on behalf of its management, the initiative was conceived to align the birthday celebration with the Foundation’s commitment to improving the lives of people in the community.
The statement stated further that the Empowerment programme is designed to provide financial assistance and support to youths, vulnerable elderly persons, orphans, persons with disabilities and small business owners across Isoko South and Isoko North Local Government Areas.
According to the statement, the programme, in line with the second plank of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s MORE Agenda, Opportunities for All, focuses on creating avenues for citizens to improve their livelihoods.
“Under the Youth Skill Empowerment component, financial support will be provided to youths from Isoko South and Isoko North who are undergoing verifiable skills acquisition or trade programmes”.
The statement disclosed further that the foundation will provide financial assistance to elderly men and women who have no children to care for them, as part of its Elderly Care Support initiative.
“The Orphanages and Disability Aid component will support orphanages, persons living with disabilities and individuals requiring prescription drugs but unable to afford them.
“The fourth component, Small Business Boost, will provide financial support to entrepreneurs with existing businesses, with one beneficiary expected to be selected from each ward in Isoko South”.
The statement called on members of the public to nominate deserving beneficiaries, urging nominators to clearly indicate the relevant category and provide adequate particulars to facilitate verification.
It said a committee comprising credible members of the forum would select beneficiaries based on fairness, transparency and the potential for maximum community impact.
