Ashakah Installs Solar Lights In Ozoro Market, Pledges Grassroots-Focused Leadership

OZORO – The APC House of Assembly candidate for Isoko North Constituency, Delta State, in the forthcoming general elections, Engr. Orobosa Ashakah has installed modern solar-powered streetlights across Ozoro Daily Market and its surrounding streets.
The project is designed to improve security and allow trading activities to extend into the evening hours.
Speaking at the installation ceremony, Ashakah described the market as the “economic heartbeat of Isoko Nation,” adding that traders deserve a safe and well-lit environment to do business.
“This is the kind of leadership Isoko North needs: practical, people-centred and immediate,” he said.
The APC candidate, who is yet to assume office, said the project reflects his personal commitment to community development. He also called on individuals and corporate bodies to support government efforts in delivering projects that directly impact citizens.
Market women, traders and community leaders praised the intervention, saying it would boost security, increase patronage, and give traders confidence to stay open later.
Ashakah noted that the solar lighting is part of his broader interventions in Isoko North focused on security, youth empowerment and small business support. He added that sustainable development requires collaboration between government, private individuals and communities.
According to him, the move is to improve security and help traders do business beyond daylight.
