Tinubu & Omo-Agege ‘Solidarity Walk’: Erhire Carpets Delta IPAC Chairman, Prince Eze

•Described him as Gov. Oborevwori’s stooge, ignorant of the Nigerian Constitution

UGHELLI – The Executive Director of Niger Delta Basin Authority Development (Engineering Services), Comrade Chuks Erhire, has condemned the Delta State chairman of Inter Party Advisory Council, IPAC, Prince Henry Eze, on his unguided outburst on the just concluded President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and DSP Ovie Omo-Agege Solidarity Walk in Ndokwa nation.

Erhire, while condemning the purported press conference organised at the instance of the Delta State chairman of Inter Party Advisory Council, IPAC, Prince Henry Eze, he said the action of the IPAC chairman is flagrant to the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and out of line with the IPAC mandate.

Erhire described the chairman of the Inter Party Advisory Council, IPAC, Delta State chapter, and his members as a stooge to the state governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori who depends on him for their daily bread.

While liking the IPAC chairman and his cohorts as parasites and stooges to the state governor, he said, “The truth is that when you have a colony of ticks that feed on the back of a cow, you will not expect that colony of ticks to stand on and by the truth.

“This set of people masquerading as members or leaders of IPAC does not even understand the function of IPAC. They pander to the whims of a sitting Governor in Delta State who pays their bills and then push them to begin to do things that are completely outside their mandate as IPAC. I’m sure Prince Henry Eze has not read the mandate of IPAC.

“These are card-carrying members of the then-defunct PDP who they put together just for the purpose of occupying space and we do not expect anything very different from them.

“I need to quickly say that some of these people that masquerade as politicians, may not have seen the constitution of Nigeria or even if they have seen it, they may not have even opened it or read to understand that people have the constitutional authority or that the Constitution expressly gives individuals and groups their right to express themselves freely, their right to congregate, their right to associate, their right to freedom of movement in Nigeria”.

While querying the business of IPAC with the solidarity work organized by people who believe that Mr. President has done very well and is still doing very well for Nigeria, therefore they need to appreciate him, he asked, what is wrong when people come out to say, yes, that Ndokwa Nation was put to the dark side of history until Sen. Ovie Omo-Agege who elected to represent Delta Central stepped into Ndokwa Nation and took them from the gross darkness to a global limelight by influencing the establishment of the Federal University of Medical and Health Sciences in Kwale.

According to him, the Ndokwa people and Ukwuani in the Federal constituency were satisfied with the establishment of the Federal University of Medical and Health Sciences in Kwale and they thought that it was important to say thank you to Senator Ovie Omo-Agege you as a reward for the work he did in influencing the university and for all the monumental projects that he has scattered across the three local governments that make up the Ndokwa and Ukwuani Federal constituency.

The people thought it is wise that they should come together to say thank you to Mr. President, and thank you to Senator Ovie Omo-Agege and that the best way to pay them back is to assure them that in 2027, they will give Asiwaju Bola-Ahmed Tinubu 100% votes, and that they will also support Senator Ovie aspiration to come and rescue Delta State as the Governor of Delta State.

“If the IPAC chairman thinks that there is anything wrong with us showing solidarity to great performers, then I think that these people who call themselves IPAC do not understand
The mandate of IPAC.

They also do not mean well for Delta State because I insist that only the best is good enough for Delta State.

“You cannot give what you do not have. So if you have a sitting Governor who, for the past two years, over two years in office, the only thing they can lay claim to is that they are building two flyovers in Warri, then something is wrong.

“Let me remind them that
Governor Nyesom Wike in Rivers State built 13 flyovers within two years. So we cannot be pandering to just the whims of noise makers in the media.

Delta State needs real development. The financial resources we need to build the Delta State of our dream are available. What Deltans needed is sound leadership.

“John Maxwell said that nations rise and fall and that everything rises and falls on leadership. You can not have poor leadership and expect development. What we have in Delta State is a clear manifestation of poor leadership, and the Delta people can no longer take it”, he said.

“When we say people’s revolution, we mean it. It is an electoral revolution of the young people with their votes. And they are going to see it in 2027. It doesn’t matter how much money they are sharing among themselves now they will see the power of the people with their votes in 2027.

And I want to reiterate that in all of this, your capacity, capability, your ability to be able to envision what you want the state to be,
Your ability to translate your dreams into reality for the state is very, very important.

We need a governor who can differentiate between projects and programs. We need a governor who knows and understands that for you to be able to run a system effectively, there is a place for goals, objectives, strategy, planning, and then an action plan and proper execution. That is what we need.

We know that Senator Ovie Omo-Agege has all of this, and that is why we are advocating and we stand by our position that Senator Ovie Omo-Agege is the best material for the governorship race in 2027. It doesn’t matter what anybody is doing; it doesn’t matter how many endorsements they have. They should go and ask President Goodluck Jonathan.

President Goodluck Jonathan received over 3,000 endorsements before the 2015 presidential election and what did that translate to? All of these endorsements they are giving to Gov. Sheriff Oborevwori and all of that money wasted in the fake endorsements, will count for nothing because the people have woken up from their slumber.

The young people in Delta State have woken up from their slumber and are ready to take back our democracy through a massive voter revolution. He declared.

While justifying the solidarity walk for President Tinubu and DSP Ovie Omo-Agege, he said, I was part of the solidarity movement from the beginning to the end, there was never a time that anybody gave threats.

“When we say that we are going to remove incompetent people as leaders, how does that translate to a threat? When we say we’re going to ensure only the best is good enough for Delta and we are going to insist that the best is enthroned through the votes of the people; that we’re going to bring in the best to take over Delta State so that we can translate Delta State to be the Dubai of Africa how does that translate into a threat?

“The truth is that most of these people don’t understand basic English; they need to go back to school and learn the use of English, as I don’t know what they mean by threat.

Chinua Achebe once told us that, “there will be little hope for us if we don’t break loose from the shackles of prejudice, half-truth and downright ignorance”.

These people are just simply ignorant they don’t understand the difference between mass appeal and threats. We are calling on Delta people to wake up.

The resources in Delta State are more than enough for us to live like executive citizens. Nobody in Delta State is supposed to be living in squalor. We have all the resources.
Delta State receives the highest revenue from the Federation Account.

We also receive the highest revenue from the 13% derivation and IGR in Nigeria. What are they doing with all of this? We heard recently that they are planning to build a flyover in Ughelli. The simple question is, when you come down from the flyover, which road are you going to drive into in Ughelli that you can close your eyes and drive? Which road?

The only way they can make a living is to insult Omo-Agege, and when they write against Omo-Agege, they now have access to the purse of Delta State.

They can go to government houses and eat their free food but they must not misinterpret the genuine interest of the people to pursue a cause that will bring Delta State from the current state of arrested development and gross underdevelopment, the IPAC he advised.
