*Says NFSS is the missing link in the security architecture of Nigeria

ASABA – The Delta State government and Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Commissioner of Police, Ajao Adewale, has lauded the Nigerian Forest Security Service (NFSS) for their contribution to national security, as the Delta State Commander, Mr Jonathan Obokohwemu, appealed to the Delta State government to provide the NFSS Delta State command with logistics and tools to work.
The Delta State government and the FCT Commissioner of police made the commendation recently at a separate occasion.
Speaking during a courtesy visit to his office by the leadership of Nigerian Forest Security Service led by its Delta State Commander, Mr. Jonathan Obokohwemu the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Dr. Kingsley Emu commended the NFSS for their efforts and contributions to the security architecture of Delta State and Nigeria as a whole.
Meanwhile, the FCT Commissioner of Police, CP Ajao Adewale, has lauded NFSS over intelligence gathering and their contribution to national security.
CP Adewale made the commendation after four days of leadership training for the intelligence covers and surveillance department in Abuja.
The Delta State commander of the Nigerian Forest Security Service (NFSS), Mr. Jonathan Obokohwemu, said that the NFSS is the missing link of the security architecture of Nigeria, he called on Delta State Government for proper integration of NFSS into the state’s security architecture and support in the provision of essential logistics to enhance its operations.
According to him, “ Tackling the menace of the ever evolving security threat bedeviled our communities, our farmers and the state as a whole which has limit farmer products throughout the state and lost of lives will required that security agencies close rank and work in unionism especially in the areas of intelligence gathering, Sharing and joint operation.
While calling for synergy and renewing collaboration with NFSS to fight internal security threats to the ungoverned space, Commander Obokohwemu said that it will require security agencies at all levels to close ranks and work in unionism, especially in the areas of intelligence gathering, Sharing, and joint operation.
Obokowhemu, while calling on the Delta State government to come to their aid, promised that NFSS Delta State will continue to improve in intelligence gathering and sharing with other sister agencies in the state.
“Our gallant officers are ready to combat all forms of crime and make the forests and ungoverned spaces safer, so that farmers can return to their farms without fear and investors can thrive in a peaceful environment.”
