•••Says President Tinubu is the most courageous president Nigeria has ever had

DELTA – FORMER Commissioner for Higher Education, Delta State, Prof. Patrick Muoboghare has urged all Nigerians particularly politicians to beware of the 2027 general elections saying nobody should approach it as a game as usual.
Prof. Muoboghare gave the charge recently at Edjekota-Ogor while fielding questions from Rainbow Newspaper correspondents on the fate of People Democratic Party (PDP) in the country’s 2027 general elections.
According to him, the 2027 general elections will be based on candidates not political parties adding that if his political party, the People Democratic Party field a useless presidential candidate in the 2027 presidential election it will not go anywhere.
It would be recall that the Delta State ex-commissioner for higher education is a stalwart of PDP in Delta State who refused to join the incumbent governor of the state, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori to defect to the All Progressive Congress in Delta State.
While calling on all political parties in the country to put their best foot forward to field their best first 11, he said, Nigerians in 2023 general elections voted candidates not political parties that is why Peter Obi of Labour Party got some votes through “Obedient Vote” not through Labour Party.
“It will be worst so in 2027 hence we are calling on all parties to put their best foot forward to field their best first eleven because Nigerians are now voting candidates not political party.
“If my party, People Democratic Party (PDP) field useless presidential candidate in the 2027 general elections he will not go anywhere that is the truth of the matter.
“Those who think they will snatch ballot boxes they should have learnt lesson from the 2023 general elections, Nigeria election are now Bi-Modal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS) elections, you can not just thumbprint ballot papers when BVAS show only 50 people accredited in the polling unit and you brought 200 votes you are wasting time, this why politicians most be close to the people, go and canvass for their votes, stop lobbying ballot snatchers and criminals”, he cautioned.
While commenting on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu led administration, he said, as an individual, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is the most courageous president I have ever see in Nigeria, some of the things he is doing in his first tenure others will do them in their second tenure.
His words, “Nigeria’s economy was dead when president Bola Ahmed Tinubu came on board, during 2023 electioneering campaign APC, PDP, and LP promised to removed fuel subsidy because it is a scam hence they can not openly critise President Tinubu for removing fuel subsidy, today most governors in Nigeria are working for President Tinubu because they are no longer borrow money, Delta State is not borrowing again but paying debts”.
