Akpos Commends Oborevwori For Recognising The Roles Of Delta Lawmakers In Strengthening Democracy

WARRI – Governor Sheriff Oborevwori of Delta State has been commended for recognizing the critical role played by the Delta State House of Assembly for their insightful leadership, effective oversight, and dedicated representation, which have bolstered the state’s development and enriched its democratic processes.

Chief Edafevwotu Akpos made the commendation while addressing newsmen in Warri the industrial capital of Delta State.

Chief Akpos, a respected traditional Chief of Agbarho kingdom in Ughelli North local government area of the state, doubled as the Executive Assistant to the Governor on Oil and Gas matters, noted that it takes a mature mind and God fearing heart to recognize and appreciate the good of others, especially in the business of legislature.

It would be recalled that the state governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevworihas recently during a thanksgiving service commemorating the second anniversary of the 8th Assembly, held at the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Asaba, loud the leadership of the Delta State House of Assembly for its vital role of harmony among the executive, legislative, and judicial arms in delivering meaningful governance, their insightful leadership, effective oversight, and dedicated representation.

He said, “Your collective wisdom, diligent oversight, and strong representation have fortified our state and advanced the cause of democracy.

“It’s truly inspiring to witness your acknowledgment of God’s role in your duties. Legislators must continually seek divine wisdom and direction”.
