UGHELLI – Ahead of the 2027 Nigeria general elections, a frontline Labour Party (LP)aspirant for Ughelli North/South and Udu federal constituency U3, Mr. Akpobome Echero has promised to bring meaningful developments to the constituency if elected.
Echero made the promise while speaking to newsmen at Ughelli, the administrative headquarters of Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State.
While assuring the constituents of Ughelli north, south, and Udu federal constituents of his readiness to bring massive developments, he said, the U3 constituency has, over the years, lacked the presence of the federal government.
“Since 1999 till date, Ughelli North, Ughelli South, and Udu federal constituency has little or no presence of the federal government, those we elected to the constituency have failed us woefully, there has been no good representation of democracy and the yearnings of the constituents.
“If elected I will bring dividends of democracy to Ughelli North, Ughelli South, and Udu federal constituency, Delta Steel Company, DSC, Aladja, Bendel Glass Company, Ekakpamre in Ughelli South local government area, and other federal government institutions will be revived and brought to function to create jobs for our youths and women”.
Akpobome urged Deltans, irrespective of political parties, to jettison the syndrome of voting for a party; rather, they should cast their votes for those they trust can bring dividends of democracy to them.
