President Tinubu Flags Off Benin -Asaba Highway, Commend Governor Okpebholo’s Leadership Style

Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, on Sunday, 23rd March 2025, represented President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the official flag-off of the 125km Benin-Asaba Highway, a transformative project set for completion within 30 months through a Public-Private Partnership (PPP).

The project reinforces the President’s commitment to boosting infrastructure and economic growth in Edo and Delta States.

Speaking at the event, Minister of Works, Engr. Dave Umahi, commended Governor Okpebholo’s leadership, acknowledging his administration’s rapid infrastructural developments, including the ongoing Ramat Park flyover.

Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Wale Edun, assured that financial provisions for the highway’s completion are in place.

Governor Okpebholo expressed gratitude to President Tinubu for prioritizing Edo’s development and appreciated the presence of Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, represented by his Deputy, Chief Monday John Onyeme, as well as other dignitaries. He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to delivering quality infrastructure that will enhance connectivity and economic opportunities for the Edo people.
