UGHELLI – FORUM of former legislators from Ughelli North, South, and Udu federal constituency, Elders & Leaders forum, and Youths on the platform of PDP weekend, during an empowerment/leadership training that brought together leading figures of the party across the three local government areas of U3 unanimously endorsed Dr. Olotu Otemu Akpodiete as the party’s sole House of Representatives candidate.
The Rainbow Newspaper authoritatively reports that the Forum of U3 Legislators, made up of former members of the House of Representatives, the House of Assembly, and Councillors, inaugurated at Otu-Jeremi Civic Center, pledged to work as a formidable team to reclaim Ughelli/Udu federal constituency come 2027.
In his keynote address, the Acting Chairman of PDP Ughelli South, Olorogun Godwin Akpokemerha, assured members that PDP will reclaim its stolen mandate in 2027, while his counterpart in Udu LGA, Comrade Kenairu Johnbull, expressed confidence that PDP is growing stronger in the federal constituency.
On his part, the immediate past Chairman of PDP Ughelli North, Pst Kesiena Nomuoja, emphasized that PDP will produce sellable candidates to reclaim the federal constituency in 2027, he urged members to put party unity above personal interests.
Hon. Dr. Olotu Otemu Akpodiete, JP, House of Representatives Aspirant and Convener, appreciated the legislators for staying with the party despite defections and empowered them for their commitment and dedication.
He stated that the U3 Legislators Forum will strengthen and support the party structure to reclaim the federal constituency in 2027.
He charged the ward leaders to intensify efforts in the ongoing INEC voter registration exercise.
“No election victory is possible without data, planning, and grassroots engagement,” he said.
Those inaugurated as members of U3 Legislators Forum are; Hon. Patrick Bodosika, Chairman, Hon. Sunday Agwa (Vice Chairman), Hon. Stephen Ashemuke (Secretary), and Hon. Dennis Obodje (Publicity Secretary). Other members present were Hon. Daniel Emaye, Hon. Godwin Akpokemerha, Hon. Edafiamredje Emmanuel, and Hon. Emmanuel Okpotako.
In his acceptance speech, Hon. Patrick Bodosika appreciated the convener and promised that the forum would work as a formidable team to win the 2027 elections.
