Ughelli Day Of Prayers, Thanksgiving: Oharisi III Urges Ughelli Residents To Come Out En masse

UGHELLI – The monarch of the Great Ughelli kingdom, HRM Evang. (Dr) Wilson Ojakovo Oharisi III JP+ APJ has enjoined all sons and daughters. The general public is to come out en masse to join hands with anointed men of God to rededicate the kingdom to God at the forthcoming Ughelli Day of Prayers and Thanksgiving slated for Saturday February, 28, 2026.
The monarch made the clarious call in his palace during a briefing with selected journalists in Delta State ahead of the Saturday February 28, 2026 “Ughelli Day of Prayers and Thanksgiving”, with the theme, “Divine Visitation”, Text: Luke 1: 78-79.
The monarch who was flanked by the President of “Ughelli Day of Prayers and Thanksgiving”, Bishop Kingsley Enakirerhi, and Ven. Isaiah Ogue, Chairman Planning committee revealed that the event has brought meaningful developments and rapid growth to the kingdom.
According to him, the “Ughelli Day of Prayers and Thanksgiving” is an annual spiritual event of the Great Ughelli kingdom focused on seeking divine intervention, peace, and the kingdom’s progress.
“It serves as a unifying gathering for all sons and daughters of the Great Ughelli kingdom, and strangers residing in the kingdom to offer prayers and Thanksgiving to God, and to reconnect their lives, and the kingdom to God.
“To offer gratitude to God, pray for the peace of the kingdom, and to ask for healing and a breakthrough for Ughelli and Nigeria as a whole.
Speaking further, he disclosed that the event features a city-wide march, with prayers offered at strategic locations within the Ughelli main town such as Market squares, roundabouts, identified stronghold points in the kingdom, and bridges.
Also speaking to journalists, Bishop Kingsley Enakirerhi the President of Ughelli Day of Prayers and Thanksgiving disclosed that since the inception of the programme 14 years ago, God has been faithful to the people and those residing in the kingdom.
“I am calling on everybody residing in the kingdom to come out en masse this Saturday at Oharisi Primary School for the 15th edition of the programme where prayers will be offered to the Almighty God for his continued protection and blessings and to rededicate the land to God on this day.”
According to him, the vision of the Ughelli Day of Prayers and Thanksgiving was conceived when the kingdom was on fire some years ago and the Ovie (king) called for prayers and dedication of the kingdom to God.
His words, “God approved it and I immediately reached out to all churches in the kingdom and the rest is the history we are seeing today and when we started, our Muslim brothers joined us in the prayers.
“We want peace, progress, prosperity, we want the power of God to take over the entire kingdom, we don’t want Ughelli to be a kingdom of war because war is a calamity and that is how we started and it has been on till this very moment.
“The theme for this year’s edition of the programme ‘Divine Visitation’, is carefully selected. Today we have peace in Ughelli kingdom, business empires are growing, and apart from Asaba, Ughelli is one of the fastest-growing cities in this area because there is peace everywhere.
“The resultant effect of the prayer and Thanksgiving is manifesting, we have roads in Ughelli, the flyover project is ongoing and I can tell you that Ughelli is expanding in population and in businesses.
“Despite challenges, we are counting our blessings upon our losses and with the wisdom God has given to our King, no darkness can comprehend the light that has come to Ughelli and I urged all, everybody to come out and give glory to God for the hours we are going to spend.”
Meanwhile, the chairman of the planning committee, Ven. Isaiah Ogue, has assured us of great touch from God upon the land, the whole earth was created with words and the same wonders will happen as we are going to pray with the words of our mouth.
“There will be masses tsunami of great impartation from above, great touch from God upon the land, great tornado on lives and businesses as we open our mouths to pray on Saturday”, he assured.
