•Says Delta State is docile since April 2025

UGHELLI – A chieftain of the People Democratic Party (PDP) in Delta State and also Acting Chairman of PDP Ughelli ward 2/6, Comrade Ogheneovo Irabor has said that there is no life in Delta State since the PDP elected governor of the state, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC) in April 2025.
Erhabor, who was fielding questions from the Rainbow Newspaper lamented the deplorable situation of Delta State since the governor who was elected on the platform of the People Democratic Party (PDP) and all elected House of Assembly members on the platform of PDP defected to the ruling party at the national level, the All Progressive Congress (APC).
According to him, since the defection of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori to the All Progressive Congress (APC), there has been no meaningful development in the state, saying the best that has happened in the state is the governor and his political appointees moving from one ceremony to another.
His word: “We know that there has been no life in Delta State since April. All we have been having are governors and political appointees moving from one ceremony to another.
“There has been no governance in Delta State since April 2025. Since the entire House of Assembly moved with the governor to APC, all they have been doing is yes sir.
“There is no commissioner that you will hear or a member of the State Executive Council you will hear that is doing something good in his community”.
Lamenting further, Irabor alleged that since April 2025, Delta State is docile, all they do is withdraw our money and attend ceremonies.
“When they pass you with a siren, you think they are going somewhere, but in the end, you end up seeing pictures of them in ceremonies.So it has been the party jamboree, since the exodus of the governor and his co-travelers in the state.
According to him, the ongoing flyover projects in the state and the Ughelli/Asaba road completion are the brainchild of the PDP before they defected to the APC. They were not born when they went to APC. Every tangible project that we are expecting was born while the PDP flag was still flying in the government house. We have not seen any tangible thing that came out since they changed from the umbrella to the broom.

That’s why you are seeing that they have parallel executives already. Even the state chairman is already on his way out. He noted.
“The party (APC) they pitch a tent with is in total disarray. In Ughelli North local government area, they have two chairmen, and in the Ethiopia West LGA, they have two chairmen, so the party and those in the party are in disarray and in a political quagmire.
