UGHELLI – The Archbishop of Bendel Province and Bishop of Ughelli Diocese (Anglican Communion), His Grace, Most Revd. Cyril Oduteme, Ph.D has called on all Deltans, both at home and diaspora, to queue behind Governor Sheriff Oborevwori to develop Delta State.

The cleric made the call on Sunday while dedicating the Chapel of Grace & Mercy, built and furniture by the executive chairman of Ughelli North local government area, Hon. Jaro Egbo, at his Camp Moses Vineyard, Abovwe-Ughelli.While calling on all Deltans and residents of Delta State to stand by the governor to deliver strong on his M.O.R.E Agenda mantra, he said the governor has started well, and his developmental strides are felt in all the three Senatorial districts of the state.

“Gone are the days Urhobos fought themselves; gone are the days Deltans fought themselves; our God will not allow it again.

” Let’s not join the bandwagons, today It might not be your turn, but tomorrow might be your turn; let us support Governor Sheriff Oborevwori to deliver strong,” he urged.

Earlier, in his homily, during the church thanksgiving by Olorogun (Barr) Jaro Egbo at All Saints Anglican Cathedral, Otor-Iwreko, Ughelli charged all political office holders and public office holders to display humility and make laws that will not hurt the mass.

He tilted his message, “Humility,” and took his text from 1 Peter 5:6; according to him, the apostle Paul called on all human beings to be humble and to follow up with the path of our Lord Jesus Christ duly embedded in humility.

While calling on all to emulate the lifestyle of Jesus Christ and to imbibe his humble nature, he noted that Jesus humbled himself to be baptized by John the Baptist, a lower servant.

Archbishop Oduteme queried how humble they were in times of trial and temptation and at their various positions.
While thanksgiving God for His mercies, goodness, and blesses in his life and his family, Olorogun Jaro Egbo said he never anticipated becoming council chairman of Ughelli North, but it pleases God to use Governor Sheriff Oborevwori to make him the chairman of Ughelli north council.

“I never consulted anybody nor campaigned to become the chairman of Ughelli North local government area, but the state governor called on me to be.
“Many told me to be in the favour book of governor you must consult wide, seek power and favour from diabolical powers but I anchor my faith in God and He favoured me with His blessed and mercies”.
