*Endorse President Ahmed Bola Tinubu and Governor Oborevwori for president and governor for 2027, respectively

UGHELLI – A chieftain of the All Progressive Congress (APC) and business mogul in Delta State, Chief Morrison Obaseki Olori, on Thursday received the former women leaders of the defunct People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Ughelli North, South, and Udu federal constituencies into the All Progressive Congress (APC).
While receiving the defectors into the All Progressive Congress (APC) family at Oil City Motel, he said APC is a big political family in Nigeria and is ready to accommodate as many as possible.
He assured the new entrants of equal rights, saying no New members and no old members in Delta State APC.
While passing a vote of implicit confidence on President Ahmed Bola Tinubu-led government at the federal and Governor Sheriff Oborevwori at the state, he said, 2027 is carry go for President Ahmed Bola Tinubu and Governor Sheriff Oborevwori.
Also speaking to newsmen, the pioneer chairman of APC Ughelli North council, Chief Felix Ekure, highlights the benefits of the fusion of Delta PDP with Delta APC, saying it is the best ever to have happened in the political landscape of the state.
“Delta APC is not divided, APC is one in Delta State, we have decided to work together as one political family now, Delta State is the APC family.
“Before now, the governor of the state Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori does not have the backing of the national now that he has come to join the APC. He will have the backing of the national government to implement his MORE AGENDA for the state; more opportunities and developments will come to the state.
“The fusion of Delta State PDP with Delta State APC will reduce political tensions in the state and consequently reduce election costs in the state”.
On his part, the chief executive director of Tozak hotel and a chieftain of APC in Delta central, Chief (Dr.) Anthony Igbodume, JP,, has said it is a joyful thing that Delta PDP has come to join Delta APC for the overall development of the state.
“When we were campaigning, we prayed for 5/5 seats, but we got 4/5. Thinking APC lost a seat, but God has a way of turning things round. Today, the full state is for APC, so it’s a thing of joy”.
The peak of the event was a motion for endorsement of President Ahmed Bola Tinubu for president and Governor Sheriff Oborevwori for governor in the 2027 general elections.
The motion for the endorsement was moved by Chief Hon.. Felix Ekure was seconded by Chief Hon.. Victor Emuobosa Ohare. Among politicians present at the occasion are Chief (Major) Patrick Egone JP (rtd), Chief andMrs) Beauty Akpoyibo, Chief (Mrs) Anthony Ogbodoma, and host of others.
