ASABA – Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori has urged contractors in the state to adhere strictly to project specifications and timelines, emphasizing that quality and accountability remain non-negotiable.

Gov Oborevwori made this call at the groundbreaking ceremony for the Ugbolu–Okpanam Road project on Thursday, 16th October, 2025, stressing that his administration remains committed to infrastructural renewal and inclusive development across the state.

Addressing the mammoth crowd on Thursday October 16, 2025, at the project site amid a downpour, the governor said the road would serve as a major link between the Ugbolu and Okpanam communities, easing traffic flow, promoting rural–urban connectivity, and stimulating economic activities in the area.

Governor Oborevwori commended the resilience of the people who turned out in large numbers despite the rain and assured that his administration will continue to deliver on its MORE Agenda for the benefit of all Deltans.

It will be recalled that the event was postponed last week due to heavy downpour.
