Delta CP-SAT Arrests Ughelli Notorious Armed Robber Moses Tejiri, Recovered Guns, Ammunition

UGHELLI – The operatives of the Delta State Commissioner of Police Special Assignment Team (CP-SAT) led by ASP Julius Robinson, acting on credible and actionable intelligence on December 28, 2025, launched a coordinated raid on a criminal hideout at the Otovwodo area of Ughelli North LGA, Delta State, and arrested a notorious armed robber, Moses Tejiri aged 24 a native and resident of the community.

The Delta State Police command disclosed in a press release signed by the command’s Police Public Relations Officer, SP Bright Edafe ANIPR, FCIA, FIPMD.
According to him, a search conducted on the suspect led to the recovery of one long Dane gun, ten rounds of live cartridges, two locally fabricated Beretta pistols, and Eleven rounds of live ammunition.
The press release revealed further that during a preliminary investigation, the suspect made useful confessional statements, admitting involvement in a series of armed robbery incidents around Ekredjebor, Uloho Avenue, Winners Road, and other locations within Ughelli metropolis.
In a related development, the operatives of the State Intelligence Department SID on December 29, 2025, arrested one Isu Emmanuel for the sale of prohibited drugs in a hotel located at Victoria junction, Okpanam road, who claimed to be a nurse at Guard Health Pharmacy Okpanam.

During the operation, twenty-eight (28) sachets of tramadol, 100mm sixteen (16) satchets of Swindol, three (3) bottles of Barcadine containing codeine syrup, and other prohibited and controlled drugs were recovered. The suspect is currently in custody, and the investigation is ongoing.
The Delta State Police Command reassures residents that intelligence-driven patrols, targeted raids, and proactive crime-prevention strategies remain firmly in place to deny criminal elements any haven within the State.
