WARRI- The Executive Assistant to the Executive Governor of Delta State on Oil & Gas matters, Chief Edafevwotu Akpos JP, also the former Chairman of Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN), has congratulated Governor Sheriff Oborevwori on Delta State’s 34th anniversary.
In a statement issued by him, he commended the governor for his visionary leadership quality for steering the state onto a path of rapid development in line with his M.O.R.E. Agenda mantra.
According to him, Governor Oborevwori’s M.O.R.E. prioritized infrastructure, people-oriented projects, governance reforms, and citizen empowerment, saying that the state’s ongoing projects and reforms are a testament to his administration’s commitment to more inclusive growth in the state.
According to him, the governor’s leadership has reoriented Delta State’s development trajectory, delivering tangible progress across multiple sectors.
The statement highlights the major achievements of Governor Oborevwori’s administration since its inception in office, including the completion of several critical road and bridge projects inherited by the current government, as well as the commissioning of landmark infrastructure works.
He named flyovers, upgraded transportation corridors, and improved urban connectivity as visible indicators of the state’s thriving development agenda.
The APC Chieftain also drew attention to the government’s programs aimed at youth empowerment, healthcare, and education. He noted ongoing efforts to create job opportunities, provide scholarships, and support entrepreneurship, all of which are designed to diversify Delta’s economy and reduce unemployment.
The statement stated further that since the inception of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori as the executive governor of the state, the rate of vandalism of oil installations in the state has drastically reduced, thereby boosting the revenue of the state.
He urged Deltans to support the governor’s MORE Agenda and to participate actively in the state’s development process.
He prayed for peace, unity, and continued progress as Delta marks another year of its existence.
