UGHELLI – A chieftain of the defunct People Democratic Party (PDP) in Ughelli North and leader of Ughelli North PDP Ward 1/5 now Ughelli North APC Ward 1/5, Olorogun Barrister Fred Majemite hosted the ward to a pomp, reaffirming support for President Ahmed Bola Tinubu and Governor Sheriff Oborevwori of Delta State.

Holding the leadership of the ward in a strategic meeting held at his Ughelli residence on Sunday, leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ughelli North APC Ward 1/5 reiterated their support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, and Olorogun (Barr) Jaro Egbo.

While passing a vote of implicit confidence on the leadership styles of the duo of President Bola Tinubu and Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, Governor Oborevwori justified the defection to APC, citing reasons for the defection.

According to him, the fusion of PDP with APC is in the best interest and development of the state.

Majemite said that with Governor Oborevwori’s defection to the APC, he is now recognized as the party leader in Delta State. He encouraged the former PDP faithful now APC faithful to rally behind the Governor’s leadership for the progress of the State and the future of the APC.

Meanwhile, the leadership of APC Ughelli North ward 1/5 has passed a vote of confidence on Olorogun (Barr) Fred Majemite for his pragmatic approach in uniting the ward for Governor Sheriff Oborevwori and President Ahmed Bola Tinubu.

Party leaders present included: Olorogun (Barr) Jaro Egbo, Chief John Ayoro, Dr. Chris Oharisi, Mr. Peter Odokuma, and a host of others.
