The motion for the adoption of the earlier motion of ratification was moved by a member representing Ughelli North Constituency II, Hon. Spencer Ohwofasa.
It would be recalled that a faction of APC Ughelli North last week suspended its party chairman, Mr. Obakpororo Onoabedje, Secretary, Barr. Beauty Ugbogun-Nze, and its Organizing Secretary, Hon. Henry Ophori, were subsequently replaced due to offences involving anti-party activities, failure to attend party meetings, failure to call the party meeting on time, and causing disunity among party members.

Recall that during the last meeting of the party, Mr.Obakpororo Onoabedje (Chairman) was replaced by Mr. Samuel Evwighono, Barr. Beauty Ugbogun-Nze (Secretary) was replaced by Ms. Juliet Odum, and Hon. Henry Ophori (Organizing Secretary) was replaced by Mr. Daniel Osiebe pending ratification by the State Working Committee and State Executive Committee.

Meanwhile, the Ughelli council chairman, Hon. Jaro Egb, has reiterated the commitment of the party to deliver President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Sheriff Oborevwori come the 2027 general elections.

According to him, APC is one in the Ughelli North local government area; there is no division or rivalries, and we are committed to working in unity of purpose.
Egbo urged all aggrieved members to come together to make the party more united and stronger in Ughelli North.
He warned those fanning embers of discord in the party to call themselves to order, threatening the big rod of the party on them.

Speaking during the APC Stakeholders’ Meeting held on Saturday in Ughelli, the Executive Director, Business Development of NEXIM Bank, Hon. Stella Okotete, expressed delight at the unity and renewed strength of the party in the area.
She said, “I want to thank everybody who is sitting here today. Your presence here shows that there is only one APC in Ughelli North, and every genuine member of the party is seated right here.”

Okotete lamented the absence of such a gathering in the past few years, describing the meeting as a sign of renewed commitment and solidarity among party faithful.
“For the past two years plus, we have not had a meeting like this. But today, we are having a meeting that shows our strength, our unity, and our readiness to deliver for Mr. President come 2027,” she said.
She emphasized that the APC in Ughelli North remains intact, organized, and focused on sustaining its winning streak in future elections.
“We will continue to deliver our House of Assembly seats, our Senate, and our House of Representatives seats come 2027,” she declared, adding that those present at the meeting were the “true pillars” of the party in the local government.
According to her, the renewed cooperation within the party signals “a new dawn” for Ughelli North, one that will usher in prosperity, effective governance, and inclusive leadership.
“This new dawn is going to bring prosperity to everyone in Ughelli. It’s going to bring proper leadership; leadership that sees everyone as partners in development, not one higher or lesser,” she stated.
Okotete expressed confidence that President Tinubu’s administration and Governor Oborevwori’s government would continue to work closely with the people of Delta State to promote development across all sectors.
She also disclosed that the APC leadership in the state remains united behind the party chairman, assuring members of stronger coordination ahead of the next party congresses and elections.

Earlier in his speech, the Acting Chairman, Mr. Samuel Evwighono, assured the party faithful of strong synergy and cooperation to redeem the image of the party that was once battered.
“With my emergence as the Acting Chairman of APC Ughelli North LGA, light has come to the party, Ughelli North APC has been in darkness, today light has come”, he said.

Also speaking, Chief Morison Olori, Hon. Godwin Adode, Chief Samson Edafevwotu Akpos, Dr. Isaac Akpoveta, Christabel Obieuwevbi, Chief Samson Akpimige, Chief Olori Magege, and others all affirmed that Ughelli North is APC and APC is Ughelli North urged all members to support the Acting Chairman to succeed.
The meeting, which attracted key APC leaders and stakeholders from across Ughelli North, ended with renewed commitments to grassroots mobilization and support for the party’s developmental agenda.
