Agbarha APC Crisis Deepens As Oduesie Tongue Lashes Council Boss Egbo For APC Woes

AGBARHA – As APC Agbarha Ward in Ughelli North local government area, Delta State engulfed in endless crisis, a chieftain of the party, Olorogun Simeon Oduesie in a worded statement tongue-lashed the executive chairman of Ughelli North council, Olorogun Jaro Omovudu Egbo for instigating the crisis in the Ward.
Olorogun Oduesie while lambasting the council chairman, disclosed that the chairman has undermined the rights of the foundational members of the party in Agbarha ward.
According to him, Egbo has always instigated those who decamped to the party against the foundational members of the party across all the wards since the day he joined the party 11 months ago with the slogan “WE ARE TAKING OVER THE PARTY IN UGHELLI NORTH “. Such action he considered inimical to the growth of the party.
While calling on the executive governor of Delta State, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori to hold him responsible for the woes of the party and possible breakdown of laws and order in APC Agbarha ward, he noted, if not caution the crisis will degenerate to a full-blown political fight not in Agbarha ward alone but the entire council area.
“I am calling on the Governor of Delta State, His Excellency Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori to hold Olorogun Jaro Egbo responsible for the rising and falling of the APC Agbarha ward for working against the peace of the party in Agbarha ward.
“Egbo has been causing division in the party in Agbarha ward by instigating the members of the party against the old members who are the foundation members of the party in Agbarha ward”.
It would be recalled that a section of the members of APC Agbarha ward on March 30, 2026, rose from a meeting and suspended some of the foundational members, elders, and critical stakeholders of the party in Agbarha ward.
The notice of the suspension made available to newsmen reads in part:
“NOTICE OF RESOLUTION OF SUSPENSION OF PARTY MEMBERS FROM AGBARHA WARD APC
“Take Notice that following the resolution of the Agbarha Ward Executive Committee in an emergency meeting held on the 30th of March, 2026 at the Party Secretariat, Agbarha-Otor, Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State, the underlisted members are hereby suspended from the party at the Ward level in line with the provisions of Article 21(2) (i), (ii), (iv), and (vi) of the Party Constitution: Chief Christopher Ominimini Obiuwevbi, Chief David Ohwoekevwo, Morrison Arouture, and others.
Giving reasons for their suspension, they alleged that their offenses were based on gross misconduct and insubordination, Acts of misconduct prejudicial to party unity, and running a parallel party structure and other activities capable of creating division and rancour among party loyalists.
The suspension takes immediate effect.
In a swift reaction, other members of the party on March 31, 2026, rising from their meeting suspended Surv. Terry Noah, Olorogun Lucky Ofomukoro,l Bestman Itive, Engr. Christabel Obiuwevbi, Barr. Charles Oniyere,
Chief Alfred Onavwa, Obus Sylvester Emoefe.
Others suspended are; Christopher Imoninu, Murphy Ohwogaga, and Hon peace Emoefe.
According to them, the offences of the suspended members bothered on anti-party activities, factionalization of the party, flouting rules and regulations, causing division and acrimony among party members, disobedience to party directives, giving wrong information to the public, engaging in dishonest practices, alteration of delegates’ list, tampering with the process of internal democracy of the party, and gross misconduct among others.
The suspension letter read in part:
RESOLUTION OF SUSPENSION OF PARTY MEMBERS FROM AGBARHA WARD APC
“In line with the APC Constitution; Article 21, subsection A l, ll, and lll the following members of the party in Agbarha Ward of Ughelli North Local Government Area have been suspended from the party with immediate effect bordering on offences of anti-party activities, factionalization of the party, flouting rules and regulations, causing division and acrimony among party members, disobedience to party directives, giving wrong information, floating rules, regulations, and decisions of the party, engaging in dishonest practices, alteration of delegates list, tempering with the process of internal democracy of the party and gross misconduct.
“All party faithful are hereby advised to have no party dealings with the aforementioned suspended individuals.
The so-called suspension of Chief Ominimini Christopher Obiuwevbi, Chief David Ohwoekevwo, and Mr. Morrison Aruoture is null and void, and as such declared null and void as they have no such powers to do so. These were the PDP ward Exco members who unlawfully converted themselves into APC ward Exco as if the Party, APC with her teaming membership and leadership that performed creditably well in the 2023 general election no longer exists”.
Reacting to the development, the Ughelli North council Chairman, Olorogun Jaro Egbbo debunked the news of a factional group in Agbarha ward.
