RIVERS – House of Representatives hope for Ughelli North, South, and Udu federal constituency, Dr. Olotu Otemu Akpodiete, PhD also Executive Director of Olotu and Ekuogbe Rowland Akpodiete Foundation was recently honoured with a prestigious Award of Excellence in Management, and inducted as Fellow of the Institute of Education, Management and Professional Studies (IEMPS) at Rivers State University, Port Harcourt.

The Award cum Induction Ceremony with the theme “Strengthening Global Best Practices in Education Management Sciences and Professional Landscape”, which had in attendance prominent academics and professionals, is aimed at empowering professionals and enhancing their future towards global best practices through knowledge sharing, capacity building, innovation, and technology.

In his welcome address, the National President of IEMPS, Pst. Dr. Emmanuel Obizue, while congratulating the inductees and awardees on their achievement, said that the institute is committed to promoting excellence in education management and professional practices.
Meanwhile, the Vice Chancellor of Rivers State University, Prof. Isaac Zeb-Obipi, urged the inductees and awardees to engage in global ethical practices within their profession.

Speaking to Rainbow Newspaper at the ceremony venue, Dr. Akpodiete expressed his gratitude to IEMPS for the award and promised to continue making a positive impact in more communities in Delta State, while presenting his research journal on the transformative effect of artificial intelligence on management functions.
According to him, his recognition is a testament to his commitment to excellence and community service as his foundation’s work continues to inspire and empower individuals, adding that the award will spur him to do more.
His words: Dr. Akpodiete’s foundation is dedicated to serving communities and transforming lives, particularly in Delta State. The foundation focuses on various initiatives, including education, healthcare, community development, security and safety, and empowerment.
Those inducted alongside Dr. Akpodiete as Fellows and Awardees are: Prof. Godfrey O. Omojefe, Prof. I.N. Dokubo, Rt. Hon. Tonye Emmanuel Isenah, Dr. Doye Angela Igbinedion, and Dr. Henrietta Uche Egu among others.
Other keynote speakers at the conference included Prof. Owunari Gorgewill, Prof. J.M.O. Gabriel, Prof. U.J. Nwogu, and Prof. Solomon A. Ikenga.
