•As the former community President General bags the Title of ‘Ofuoma r’Oghene of Africa Church

UGHELLI – It was celebration galore on Sunday at Ekiugbo Community as the immediate past President General of Ekiugbo-Ughelli community, Comrade Bernard Baker, his family, and Ekiugbo Community joined him in church thanksgiving on his well-deserved chieftaincy title as ‘Ofuoma r’Oghene of Africa Church at Holy Trinity Africa Church, Oghenevweta Street, Ughelli.

It would be recalled that on penultimate Sunday, the duo of Comrade Bernard Baker and his wife, Mrs Grace Baker, bagged the prestigious Chieftaincy Title of Africa Church, Ughelli Diocese, as the ‘Ofuoma r’Oghene of Africa Church and Omafuvwe r’Oghene of Church of Africa respectively.

In his homily, Ven. Romeo Harry charged all the title holders of the Church of Africa as a call to duty and an ambassador of Christ Jesus and the African Church worldwide.
“You are honoured with the prestigious chieftaincy title of the church of Africa to assist the church financially, physically, and morally.

“The honour done on you today is to equip you for the greater task to propagate the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ to all nooks and crannies of the world and to be a good leader of the house of God.”
Speaking to newsmen during the Thanksgiving reception at his compound, Chief Bernard Baker thanked the Ekiugbo community, friends, and well-wishers for identifying with him and his family.

While dedicating the chieftaincy title to God Almighty first, the Bishop, and the entire Ekiugbo community, adding that the honour would spur him to do more in the vineyard of God.
