UGHELLI – Ahead of the 2027 general elections, a leading member of People Democratic Party (PDP) Uhweru Ward 9 in Ughelli North local government area of Delta State, Prof. Patrick Muoboghere, has said that the fate of PDP at the national is hanged on the balance, adding that 2027 elections will base on a candidate, not a political party.

Muoboghare made the assertion recently while hosting the PDP faithful in Uhweru Ward 9 at his Uhweru residence.

According to him, the crisis rocking the party (PDP) at the national level is caused by three monasteries the like of Alhj. Abubakar Atiku, Saraki, and Tabuwa are unstable people; we are praying for the success of their coalition so that they can leave the party.

” Atiku has attempted to destroy the party five good times; the group of Atiku, Tanbuwal, and Saraki should leave the party; they are unstable people, and they are the enemies of the party; if they fail to leave, we will expel” he threatens.

While fielding questions from The Rainbow Newspaper, he linked the situation of a PDP member who defected to the All Progressive Congress as a harlot who left her commercial sex work and got married to a man; such a commercial sex worker is on leave, she will one day return to her work.

“Those PDP who ran to APC will come back in August after APC congress because APC will use them to stone ground. Do you know the struggle in APC? People are there all this while positioning themselves, and you are coming to threaten them even from the governorship.

” Let me predict something, Governor Sheriff Oborevwori is the leader of APC in Delta State by a venture of being governor of the state and member of the party, so for his second term, there is what we called, “Right offense of Refusal”, before the primary elections if you go to the governor and ask him if he will contest or not the moment he says yes that is the end of the news.

“The PDP defectors will come back to us, and we will punish them the way they attempted to punish us; punishment is awaiting them; they must atone for their sins against the party.”

While threatening serious sanctions on the defected members of PDP in the state, Muoboghare said those who have serial records of defection from the party and decided to come back to the party to mess the party further, we shall reject them and are hereby rejected.

“Uhweru will not have any business with anyone who has serially run from the party come 2027.

“Nigerians must appreciate the minister of Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Abuja, Barr. Nyson Wike, for what he is doing, Wike is saying while you have been trying to destroy the party since 20214, he decided to remain in the party, so you can not come and dictate for him after prostituting with three or four political parties.

“We will give them a deadline to tender their resignation letters failure to do so, we will expel them from the party completely, and if they decide to come back, we will examine them before readmitting them to the party”.

While describing the defection wave that swept across Delta PDP to APC as mysterious, he noted that the defection storm only affected the government appointees and a few elected members, not the entire Uhweru kingdom.

“We, the real owners of the party, decided to hold the party; Ughelli North Council is peculiar; the votes strength of Ughelli North Council is more than some four or five councils votes put together in the state; therefore, Ughelli North Council can not be pushed around by some self-styled dictators.

“The balance of those left in PDP in Uhewru after the exodus of few appointees is about 98%, so 98% of PDP in Uhweru is intact.

“Uhweru PDP Ward 9 is the strongest unit in Ughelli North Council; we decided to remain in PDP because we don’t want to become political prostitutes,”.
